Hutcon has been awarded their second project on Cockatoo Island. After the success of the heritage restoration of buildings 24 & 28, Hutcon has been awarded the campground kitchen and shower facilities. The team is very excited to be back on the island and look forward to another successful project.

Sanjay Jithoo has commenced as Hutcon's senior estimator. This appointment is part of our planned expansion and increases our resources to better look after our Clients needs. His vast experience in estimating will be a great asset to the team. We look forward to a long relationship with Sanjay.

Hutcon's expansion continues with its upcoming move to Artarmon. The team at Hutcon will be moving into their new office in the coming month, this exciting new prospect will mean greater efficiency and pave the way for further growth.

Hutcon's major project for the past 6 months, the heritage restoration of buildings 24 & 28 at Cockatoo Island, has now been completed. This restoration came with some obstacles but the team at Hutcon were able to overcome these and the project was finished on time and within budget.

Hutcon welcome Kent Hoffman to the team. Kent's position at Hutcon's is part of our planned expansion and increases our resources to better look after our Clients needs. We look forward to a long relationship with Kent.

Cockatoo Island works awarded to Hutcon. The Sydney Harbour Federation Trust has recently awarded Hutcon the contract for the repair and alterations works to Buildings 24 and 28 on Cockatoo Island. The restoration of this circa 1916 building will eventually be an important part of the redeveloped Cockatoo Island returning a long time under-utilised asset back to the people of Sydney.

23rd August 2006
Nick Byrne has agreed to offer ongoing design, further strengthening the Hutcon service. This exciting arrangement with Nick will build a repetitive relationship between our design and construction departments alleviating the "teething" problems often present when working with new design teams.

Hutcon adopts a new Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Management system. These new policies will ensure the safety of all parties involved in our projects and continued project delivery exceeding our client's expectations.

3rd July 2006
Hutcon has been appointed by Richard Crookes Constructions to assist in project management. This term contract is in the first instance for works at the new F. Hannan Properties development in Alexandria but offers the opportunity for on-going works.
